We are so very appreciative of your support and can’t wait to hang with everyone in the beautiful Hidden Hollow all weekend long! Remember to be safe and courteous of others, respect the land, and pick-up your trash!! This includes cigarette butts! All guests must vacate the property by 12pm, Sunday, May 22nd.
Reminder of Parking Policies:
Those without Amphitheater Parking (AKA Car Camping ) Passes, will be directed to one of our on-site satellite parking areas after check in. There you will be parked, and then you can gather your camping gear and belongings and take the shuttle down to the amphitheater, camping and main festival grounds. Those with Amphitheater Parking Passes will sent directly to the amphitheater to set up camp. There will be parking attendants at both locations to help you get settled. Those with lodge rooms will be directed to lodge check in.
A very small number of Amphitheater Parking Passes remain and are available for $20 on the website in the invite purchasing ( password access) area. Should any remain, they will be available on site for $30.
Should you have last minute friends that one to join in on the Hollow Fun, gate tickets will be available for $130. Tickets will remain available online until late Thursday, May 19th at MIDNIGHT, and are also available at Soul Shine Family Glass on Howard Street until they close on Thursday at 5pm. Soul Shine Family Glass and the Gate will accept cash payments. If you are unable to have a cash payment at the gate, you will be directed to the lodge where internet is available and card payments can be processed.
***VERY IMPORTANT: Should we get close to reaching capacity, notices will be posted on our website and on our Facebook page, at that time, no more tickets will be sold.
MAIN GATE HOURS : Friday 10am - Friday 6pm , arrivals later or on SATURDAY enter at ARTIST/ VENDOR gate.
****There are 2 entrances to the property. The directions listed below will take you to the main ticketing gate for check in. MAIN GATE HOURS ARE 10am till 6pm Friday May 20th - AT ANY OTHER TIME YOU WILL NEED TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE ARTST/VENDOR GATE OFF HWY 321! GPS for late night ( after 6pm and Saturday arrivals: 5793 HWY 321 Butler, TN 37640)
If you approach the other gate which is directly off HWY 321 during main gate hours and are not a vendor or an artist you will be turned around and sent to the main gate.
If you are coming from the west - going thru Elizabethton, Johnson City, or Mountain City - to get to main gate you will turn LEFT at the second Sugar Hollow Retreat sign (if you hit the state line you have gone too far) and from there you will follow the directions below from #5. ****
Directions from Boone, NC to Sugar Hollow Retreat MAIN GATE.
GPS address: 100 Sugar Hollow Road, Butler, TN, 37640
1) From West King Street in Boone, continue on Hwy. 321/421 towards Tennessee.
2) After 6 miles, turn left onto Hwy 321 towards Elizabethton, TN (no stop lights, Skateworld Skating Rink on left).
3) Go 11 miles to the NC/TN state line. (During this 11 mile section you will pass through the town of Sugar Grove, NC. Your cell phone will likely lose service past the Cove Creek Store on this road so make any cell phone calls you need to make before you leave Boone. You may also want to pick up a calling card to use at Sugar Hollow; cell phone service can be spotty. Speed limit is 35 mph in this section and there are often speed traps, so make sure you adhere to all driving laws.)
4) After you reach the state line, continue straight for 4.1 miles. You will see a green “Carter County” sign on your left. Turn right onto Buntontown Rd. There will be identifying signage stating " Sugar Hollow Retreat" at this turn to help you spot it.
5) Go 1 mile and turn left on to Sugar Hollow Road. There is another sign identifying it as the way to Sugar Hollow Retreat
You will also see a small pond. The road forks immediately. Stay to your left. DRIVE SLOWLY PLEASE!
6) Go approximately ½ mile to the top of the hill and take a left onto a dirt road named Elk Ridge. You will see another sign signifying Sugar Hollow Retreat. PLEASE DRIVE VERY SLOWLY ON THIS DIRT ROAD, and MOST IMPORTANTLY - please be kind to our neighbors.
7) Follow the dirt road until you get to our main ticketing gate.
Your name will be on a guest list, so be prepared with some sort of identification so we know who you are, and we may ask your shipping address to verify. We will be checking government issued ID’s to make sure those participating in the free beer and shine are of age. With out ID you CAN NOT get your drinking wristband. You will also have to sign a waiver stating you are responsible for your own actions as a drinking-aged adult.
Once check in is completed we will direct you to camping if you have a parking/car camping pass, or parking and shuttle to camping if you do not.
REMINDER: If you arrive at the festival after 6pm on either night, the main gate will be closed and you be directed to the artist entrance. If coming from Boone it is located directly off Hwy 321 about a ¼ mile past the turn onto Buntontown Rd on the right. If coming from Elizabethton/Johnson City, the artist gate is located ¼ mile before the Buntontown Rd entrance directly off Hwy 321 on the left.
COMING AND GOING:
We prefer that folks stay on the grounds once they arrive. This is to keep everyone safe and bad vibes out! If you need to leave - you MUST have a sober driver. Security guards at the gates will be checking and will not unlock the gates for intoxicated individuals. The roads around the Hollow are very curvy and drinking and driving is strictly forbidden, not to mention illegal and deadly. If you do need to leave the site and you have a completely sober driver, there are security guards at both gates 24/7 who can let you out.
